Group Report Extract for ACCG250

“This report provides a summary of how LifeSafe integrates controls into the company to ensure the collection of payments from our customers through the segregation of duties for our staff who perform different accounting functions including the custodial, recording and authorisation functions. It refers to the technologies that are used to support the revenue cycle with the implementation of our customisable off-the-shelf CRM of Microsoft Dynamics (MD) and how critical this is for our organisation.

This business report shows that through these controls we have recommended we can have an appropriate budget process for our organisation with the use of both the internal factors that affect the organisation but also the external factors such as government activity within the country, the economic factors domestically as well as internationally.

Recommendations include:

• CRM incorporation with reminder/policy system for information to be easily accessible.
• Buying a Customisable Off-the-shelf program “Microsoft Dynamics” to suit our needs.
• Taking external factors into consideration when making business decisions.
• Utilising HR to its fullest to run efficiently.”

The above extract that I have taken from the ACCG250 unit is a group assignment that was submitted during the semester.

I was tasked by my group to do the executive summary and this extract does not do the best possible job when it comes to demonstrating what I have learnt during ACBE100. This does not display academic communication in the best possible formation as I had completed this unit a few semesters before and did not have the current knowledge that I know have.

The current sentence structure shows an abundance of information and does not have a clear structure which readers may find difficult to follow and the core meaning of the sentence may be lost. If I applied the knowledge that I obtained with ACBE100, this extract would become a lot more structured and clear with my distinct voice that has been added. A proper referencing attempt should have been made but this was not done and the quality of text has diminished overall.

If I were to do this assignment again, ACBE100 would have helped me create a more soundly structured piece of writing which can help me achieve higher marks.
